Warranty Policy

At GLEWEL, our warranty applies only to bicycles purchased from Authorized GLEWEL Retailers or directly from GLEWEL. In general, we will cover most problems of the system and defects from the factory.

Please refer to the following table for the warranty for specific parts.

Exceptions

This limited warranty is not meant to suggest or imply that the bicycle cannot be broken or will last forever. It does mean that the bicycle is covered subject to the terms of the limited warranty. This limited warranty applies only to the original owner of a GLEWEL bicycle and is not transferable to subsequent owners. The warranty will be automatically expired if any unauthorized modification occurs. During the service ordering process, you must notify us of any unauthorized modifications or any repairs or replacements not performed by GLEWEL that have been made to your product.

This warranty pertains to any of the essential electric bicycle components that are found defective, provided that the product was used in a standard and controlled manner and that it was maintained according to the manufacturer's instructions manual. Essential components include the bicycle frame, electric motor, battery, display, and controller. The warranty will NOT cover the problems caused by any of the following causes:

Any unauthorized modification to the product, such as disassembling the bike without direction by GLEWEL, faulty installation, repair, or maintenance by anyone other than GLEWEL.
Any misuse of the product, such as using the bike for commercial/rental uses, playing dangerous acts, etc., riding the bike in abnormal road conditions.
The product has been in accidents, such as traffic accidents.
The normal wear and tear of any Covered Component.
Anti-rust layer damage caused by misuse (the damage of the anti-rust layer can lead to corrosion and fracture of the parts).
The product has been in extreme environments (including extreme temperature or humidity), extreme physical or electrical stress or interference, fluctuation or surges of electrical power, lightning, static electricity, fire, acts of God, or other external causes.
Consumables or normal wear and tear parts (including, without limitation, tires, tubes, brake pads, cables, housing, grips, chain, and spokes).
Damage to Covered Components resulting from failure to follow instructions in the ebike owner's manual, acts of God, accident, misuse, negligence, abuse, commercial use, alterations, modifications, improper assembly, installation of parts or accessories not originally intended or compatible with the ebike as sold, operator error, water damage, extreme riding, stunt riding, or improper follow-up maintenance.

Determining whether damage or defect to an ebike or covered component is protected by this limited warranty shall be at the sole discretion of GLEWEL.

During the duration of this limited warranty, GLEWEL will either repair any defective frame or component or, at our option, replace any defective frame or component with the same or most nearly comparable model or component then available.

This Limited warranty gives the consumer specific legal rights. The consumer may also have other legal rights which vary from state to state or country to country. Some states and countries do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages or warranties, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. If it is determined by a court of competent jurisdiction that a certain provision of this limited warranty does not apply, such determination shall not affect any other provision of this limited warranty, and all other provisions shall remain in effect.

Parts and Labor

GLEWEL may provide both parts and labor but may direct that you replace certain parts yourself, as described below. In most cases, we do not require you to send the defective parts back to us. All labor charges for warranty service are the responsibility of the bicycle's owner. In the event that the processing of a warranty claim requires shipping, any such shipping charges are the responsibility of the bicycle's owner.

Do-It-Yourself

(DIY) Parts Service. DIY Parts Service allows you to service your own product. GLEWEL will ship you a replacement part for your product if we determine that DIY Parts Service is available to you. The replacement part will be accompanied by instructions on installation and any requirements for the return of the replaced part. GLEWEL reserves the right to decide if the labor costs relating to DIY Parts Service will be covered or not.

For Any Repair Outside the Warranty

Even if your problems are not covered by the warranty, you can purchase replacement parts from us. As the manufacturer, we offer competitive prices for the parts of our bikes. To purchase replacement parts from us, please contact us at info@glewel.com for further information.
